One of the distinct privileges of working as a City Councillor is representing the community at events in and around the Region.  The following are upcoming events that encourage everyone to attend:

  1. Waterloo rings in 2019!
    Free public skating: RIM Park, 4 – 5:50 p.m., sponsored by Tim Hortons. DJ on site.
    Family celebration Waterloo Public Square, 6 – 9 p.m. This year’s theme is Fire and Ice featuring themed music from our New Year’s Eve DJ’s, skating on the Uptown Rink, an interactive wearables activity (LED lights + Paper Crowns) with Agnes from Mindful Makers, a fire and ice themed photo booth, fireworks at 6pm, a special NYE countdown at 9pm and more!

  2. Mayor and Council New Year Levee
    The community is invited to celebrate 2019 with Mayor Dave Jaworsky and council at the annual New Year’s Levee. Details:

    When: Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. to 1: 30 p.m.
    Where: Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex, 101 Father David Bauer Dr., Waterloo
    Activities:Free skating from 10 a.m. to noon
    Free swimming from 2:05 – 4 p.m.
    Live entertainment featuring Erick Traplin and the Grand River Swing andCartoon Bob, STEM Robotics and Virtual Reality will be onsite to entertain the family
    Free cookies and refreshments while quantities last!
    Grab your kids, grab your skates and swim suit and come out for a fun afternoon with Mayor Dave Jaworsky and council!
